I used to be the lead generator at a Home Depot. I loved my job, my customers and the people I worked with. One thing I can do is sell. The year I left Home Depot I was 320% over goal. I knew it would be difficult to replace me so I wanted to be sure their numbers would be good for the rest of that fiscal year. So blatant promotion is nothing I was worried about. I sold at home services to people. So if you needed a new roof, windows, HVAC, doors, deck etc I was the person to see. I learned quickly to sell people what they needed not what they wanted. That way everyone was happy. You don't sell what the buyer could never recoup in their neighborhood. Or what wouldn't work. So sometimes they needed a less expensive item and sometimes a more expensive item. I had customers come in my last week just to say goodbye. So you know they were satisfied happy customers. I was not prepared after writing our first novel Bioprints for all the blatant self promotion needed to launch a new book. Now believe me I am quite sure we have a good book. However I was not prepared for how I would feel constantly saying "buy our book" "5 star reviews" and so on and so forth. Fortunately I do think we have a good product and if you like crime novels, romance ( totally pg clean romance) mystery and corporate espionage you won't be disappointed with Bioprints. I am now used to all the "blatant self promotion" and no longer think about it that way. I realize you need to be introduced to our book and see if it is something you would enjoy reading. O'Rouke Crime Novel Vol.II will be out soon. The title will be Flash Zombies and you will have to read it to find out why :D. I think you'll like it. Vol.II is longer than Vol.I. Other than that we have many of the same charachters returning and also quite a few of the same elements. I hope you'll read both of them, enjoy them and be entertained for a few hours....blog later...Joan
