Busy, busy, busy this time of year. Thanks for taking a minute to visit and meet Author Rolando F. Calzada. We'll let him introduce himself...
"My life has been fulfilled in ways I could never have imagined. I look at my life as a passed reflection and can barely believe the life I’ve lived. It’s often said that everyone has a story; I suppose when it comes to stories, “my cup runneth over”. I’m a Cuban expatriate born in a time of political discord, and like many earthy immigrants, in the manner of detritus, scattered by the specter of Communism. My family arrived on foreign shores roused by a quote. “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” – Emma Lazarus
We knocked on that golden door, not in search of a hand out, but in search of the fruitful fulfill of our toil. My father instilled in me a warrior’s spirit. As such I’ve fought to excel at everything that I’ve done. My latest challenge is literary acclaim. I feel somewhat guilty that I’ve been afforded a free pass past that narrow threshold known as traditional publishing, but I am truly humbled and only a growing readership can deem me worthy.
I’ve been married for 29 years to the love of my life and been blessed 3 loving daughters. The topsy-turvy journey that has been my life has brought me to Charlotte NC. I’ve just completed book 2, “We Survive”; book 3, “Bloodlust” is running on high-octane fuel and book 4, “Lead System” is definitely smothered of Southern charm."
Thanks Rolando! It's definitely worth the time checking out his 1st book Pieces of Ten Resurrection.
