I am working on a book about Jezebel, Ahab, & Elijah. This particular subject requires a LOT of research. I have always enjoyed reading historical fiction. You get to read an entertaining story AND learn a little about history! (hehe I'm lazy like that). I have NEVER wanted to write historical fiction. Research seemed to me to be something very tedious and dry. Definitly not anything I would want to do :). So, why am I? I'm really not sure. One day the thought came to me that I would like to write a fictionalized account of Jezebel, while keeping the Biblical facts accurate. After asking Chris (RC) if this would be a project he'd be interested in (yes) I started to look into the stories about Jezebel outside of the Bible (after re-reading the Biblical account). Before I knew it I was researching! Now for the amazing part......dum dum dum! I LOVE RESEARCH! There are so many aspects of her time period to read about! The architecture, the clothing, the politics, the food, her country of origin, the crafts etc. etc. Each thing is so interesting. Much of my story will be fiction since I will be starting with her birth. Not much is known about her per se but the study of her time period in the part of the world she lived in is an adventure in itself. .......Blog later......Joan
